Dear Ann: What a joy it was to come across this website! I was listening to one of your speaking tapes the other day -- "Hi, I'm Ann" -- and had wondered what had happened to you. As a young adult, I had always admired you -- the way you always seemed to reac h out and help others. And each time I met you, you were always warm and not the least bit stand- offish. You almost seemed too good to be true. But after reading your book, S"educed By Success," I began to admire you even more -- your openness, honesty and vulnerability really touched me and gave me hope. I, too, am someone who always wanted to be "perfect" and have everyone love me. I still struggle with perfectionism and self-image problems. Please continue praying for me and I'll try & remember to pray for you & your ministry, too!

Dear Ann, God has my attention! I have always had a heart for evangelism and as a single mom supported my family with a Mary Kay business - so I could share my faith. We got big in the business, and the kids grew up. I told God it was His and He took it! My heart is evangelism for women~please pray I will clearly know how!

Ann, there's no way you'd remember me, but I'll give it a shot! I sent your sons birthday cards for many years from all over the world as I traveled, etc. I lived in China 1989 - 1991 and wrote you from there as well. I kept up with your books and as the years went by and with your moves, I was unable to keep in touch any longer.

However, the internet has made the world smaller. I got married at age 34, and had my first child at 37 and my second at 38.

I am now back in China with my family. Being an instrument of change in this world is a recurring theme in our lives.

Many thanks for sharing your experiences. May you continue to be blessed, even in what is seen as painful circumstances.

Happy Birthday!

All my best, Vickie

Hello Ann. I saw you years ago (like 30 yrs ago) at a Youth Evangelism conference in Nashville, TN. You told a story of being in the middle of a football huddle and saying a prayer for all those big guys. And how you would sing to people on airplanes and in grocery stores. I read all your books. Then I grew up and forgot about you. Cause I was busy, you know. Smile. Then one day when I was grown, I found your book about addiction. My mother struggled with the same thing. I loved your honesty. I loved that you weren't as perfect as it had seemed back in the 70s. I liked that you had made some mistakes, too. Like me. And I was happy that you and Will were back together and happy again. Then I got busy again. And I forgot. But in the funny way that blogs connect people I read about someone who had just heard you for the first time on FOTF and they were raving about you. And I remembered you again. And was so sad that Will had died. I'm going to try and not get busy again. And forget. I'll be praying for you and your ministry. Love, Sara

Thank you for sharing your store. I heard you first on Focus on the Family 9/16/09. What you said taught me how to hope again. I will trust God and hold on to my dream until God brings it about. I look forward to reading your books and learning more about what God is going to do in your life. Your sister in Christ, Sibane

I was introduced to you via FOTF this week. God is using your powerful testimony to inspire/encourage me. I've been praying for God to send my husband for over 17 yrs now (I too have no godly prospects but God is the God of the impossible:) I laughed out loud at your Sarah comment and was touched deeply by your precious husband's prayer re. life being short and wanting to experience it all...that's exactly how I feel. I don't really share with others the private pain of many years of living alone day in/day out....but God is here and He is faithful...has me all to Himself:) As I wait on God to fulfill my dreams of being a wife and mom, I'll remember your words to "never ever ever ever give up!" Thanks also for the quote "It takes Jesus alot of time to put all the pieces together in our lives. Give God time." Can't wait to read your book "I Love the Word Impossible." I'm thankful for the divine appt of me hearing your broadcast messge. In Christ.

Ann, like many others, I have read your books over the years - waited for new ones with great anticipation! Missed you - now understand why - so grateful that God is opening new doors for public ministry that will bless so many - thank you for your authentic walk with the Lord that has challenged me many times to walk more straight, more narrow.

DEAR ANN,I heard you for the first time at Focus on the Family radio on 09/16/09. I was amazing with your passion for Christ and I was very touching with your experience. i Know the pain you went thru. I had a miscarriage last year 2008 at 5 months. God took my baby Joshua to be with him. Was my first. I am 39 now and I am still trying to conceive , but nothing yet. I came to the point that is in God's hand. I know that God has a plan for us, we just don't understand how His work, but for sure He know every single tear come out of our eyes will be joyfull one day in Heaven. I am so thankfull for the worlds of encouragment you gave thru your message. I never will give up.I am still want to try to be a Mom. I can't wait to read one of your books. Thank Ann and may God Bless you more each day, so that you can bless others like me.

Love Eliene

Dear Ann, I just found your website and blog! I have read your first two books several years ago! They quickly became favorites to me! I was so challenged! I had no idea how to find more out about you until several weeks ago a friend told that you have a blog! I finally have found it! It has been such a joy to read everything that you have written! God bless you richly! I also heard you yesterday on Dr. James Dobson's program. It was a real blessing to hear you sharing in that way! Thank you for your love for the Lord!

I just listened to your message reaired on Focus on the Family titled "How Can I Change." I was moved deeply. I have been fighting and resisting and being bitter about being single and no Godly prospects. I realize GOD has chosen this road for me for this season and HE makes no mistakes. I just need to refocus on JESUS and let HIM be my husband. Your message about making sorrow your friend is just what I needed. I realize my sorrow is petty compared to yours and others but none the less, the lonely is real. I pray that GOD will be glorified in the process. Thank you for being transparent and speaking about your life, it has truly been a blessing to me.

I can't wait to read your new writings. Welcome back!!

God revives the work in the midst of the years. Praise God! Your 1985 lecture blessed my sister and myself greatly today. Thank you!

Jennifer Jansen thejansen5@yahoo.com (09.16.2009 @ 18:30:52)
Dear Ann, I was introduced to you today on Focus on the Family, as they aired a lecture that you had given some time ago (I believe they said it was circa 1985). I can't tell you how much your story impacted me. Your transparency is a treasure. You speak with such grace and eloquence, and paint such a beautiful picture of trials, heartaches and our loving Jesus. I know that God has greatly used you, and will continue to use you to touch many, many lives. Thank you for sharing your testimony. May He continue to bless you. Love in Christ, Jennifer
